When people hear Open Source they think FREE. Well it is free. It usually does not have all the features of the similar product that costs money but may be sufficent for your purpose. This website is build upon an open source product. Our bug tracking system is as well. Both using Microsoft Technologies such as the .NET Framework & SQL Database.

There are open source products for all platforms and needs. The question is does it fit your need and does it make sense to create a product from scratch or modify one that is open source. This decision must be made by you and we are here to best inform you of the pros & cons.

We use BugNET to track our feature requests & issues. This is an OpenSource web application and one everyone that we work with gets to know.

FreePBX is an Asterisk based PBX system that we have deployed to clients, some being call centers. This is a completely free platform. It is lacking in reporting. The best reporting tools for this system that we have found and recommend come from Asternic with Call Center Stats and an Operator Panel that are excellent.
